Who am I?

  • Introduction

Hi! My name is Lino Uruñuela and this blog you're reading, Mecagoenlos.com, is my personal blog where I have been writing about SEO since 2006!. I'm an independent SEO consultant, I love data and, of course, I'm learning how to implement and get the most out of AI.

  • Where I am

I live in San Sebastián, although my office is my laptop. In the 23 years I have been working as an SEO I've had the chance to work for many of the biggest companies in Spain (Grupo Intercom, Vocento, Zara, InfoJobs, PcComponentes, Milanuncios, Fotocasa, Universia...), where I have learned many things — the kind of things you can only learn in companies like these.

  • My skills

Whenever I can I develop my own software, with deep experience in: log analysis, keyword monitoring, alert automation, data transformation, and countless tailor-made solutions for each client. I love trying new technologies to take on new challenges.

  • My projects

I built MyDomain.dev, a completely free tool designed to show Search Console data in a different way. I'm also Co-Founder of FunnelPunk. I love sharing knowledge, so if you have a question where you think I might be able to help, drop me a line. I'm sure we'll learn something together ☺️

  • Community

I'm a Google Product Expert, actively helping other users solve their questions about Search Console and Google Search.

What I do

My own software

I build custom tools for technical SEO and I am not afraid of large data volumes. Many — like MyDomain.dev — are free.

Log analysis

I understand how Googlebot crawls and indexes. I cross logs with Analytics, Search Console and rankings. «Do not imagine things, measure them».

Rankings monitoring

I track the dance of positions and correlate it with site changes or Google updates. The SEO lighthouse keeper.

Data ETL

I extract, transform and load millions of rows (Search Console, logs, analytics) with JavaScript, SQL, Python, ClickHouse and BigQuery.

Web analytics

I dig into what users did, why, and how it affects SEO. I dump the data into databases for custom queries.

Near-full dedication

Less is more: I never take on more than 3-4 projects at the same time. I soak up the business and live each project.

Google Product Expert

I have been a Google Search Product Expert since 2017: I help in the official forums and explain why a website is not appearing in Google. Every year Google invites me to its San Francisco offices together with other Product Experts, where we give direct feedback to their engineers. Connecting Donostia with Mountain View.
